Tidy's behaviour

You decide how Tidy writes, how much it speaks up and what it may do for you.

Writing tone

Reply drafts start in the tone you choose: Formal or Friendly. You can change it for each email too.

Areas in the sidebar

Empty areas are already hidden. Areas you turn off disappear from the sidebar; their emails are still read.

Proactivity

  • Quiet: speaks only when asked. Only critical items are notified right away; no suggestions.
  • Balanced: tells you what matters on its own.
  • Proactive: also suggests opportunities, e.g. “You haven't written to this client in 3 weeks.”

What Tidy may do

For each job you choose how much Tidy may do:

  • Show: only tells you.
  • Suggest: prepares a draft, you do it.
  • Do with approval: asks, then does it once you approve.
  • Do and tell: does it, then lets you know.

With “Do and tell”, outgoing emails wait 5 minutes; you can undo them from the Today screen. Tidy never sends a reply to an incoming email without asking.

Approval and undo

  • With “Ask before Tidy changes something in chat” on, Tidy tells you what it's about to do (mark done, fix areas, create a rule, turn on a mode, block) and waits for your yes.
  • Undo time on send: after you press Send, the email waits 5 to 30 seconds so you can undo it.
